Several days ago while I was in Sarasota Florida, I woke with the intent of seeing the sunrise. There is a place on Siesta Key that is being developed and under construction. I know it well because the past two Springs since I have been sick, I have come to this same place. With my jeep in four wheel drive, I climbed over the bank onto a dirt road leading me to a very old pier that sits out over the water, where the sun would soon find it’s rising.

I sat and waited…but after a long time, I noticed to the far right of me, the horizon was starting to display colors of orange and pink. I panicked inside thinking, “Oh no! The sun has moved! I am not in th right spot anymore!” Being geographically challenged to say the least, I didn’t realize that the different seasons had an impact on where the sun would be! I jumped in my jeep and pulled out of my secluded retreat spot, and onto the main road. I raced up the road trying to find a driveway, or a street where I could turn into to see the sun, but they were all gated and marked “No Trespassing, Keep Out, or Private Property”. Then as an unexpected gift, I saw an overgrown field where tires had once made their way. So, with four wheel drive to the rescue, I again pursued the sun, and came to the waters edge to sit at center stage, front row! The sky was on fire and the sun broke through the massive, thick clouds like it owned them! I sat in awesome wonder!

For centuries men have watched the sun…it’s rising and it’s setting. There is something in us that never grows weary of it’s majestic entrances and departures. I was in awe of the Hand that paints the sky and who makes the sun to faithfully rise and set. From the beginning of time His faithfulness to all generations has been known. His faithfulness to all generations ...His unfailing faithfulness to me.

Millions have gathered to see the sun and it's wonders, and sadly many worship creation and know not the Creator. “But one day the sun will turn black, and the stars will fall to the earth. There will be a New Heaven, and a New Earth…the City will have no need of the sun or of
the moon to shine, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb (the Son) is its light!” ( Rev.6:12 and 21:22)

He will never fade away...His illuminating light will endure forever!,...He is the SON, who hides not His face from me. When He asked me to follow Him, there were no road signs that said, "Private Property, or Keep Out! When the seasons changed in my life, and cancer raised it's ugly head, I didn't have to chase after Him! His light broke through the massive, thick clouds...and His glory was revealed to me!  He was right there…He never moved....

 The SON Pursued Me!
